Their sounds and activity are a natural part of our worship, so parents can come to church and relax into the family atmosphere. There is no dress code to discourage kids and teens. Sunday dresses and torn jeans are equally acceptable – for parents too!
During Trinity @ 9 downstairs in Tait Hall, children can sit together with their families over food and drink, or use our E.C.E staffed Nursery across the hall.
Before our 10:30 worship celebration, parents are welcome to settle your babies and preschoolers in the Nursery with Jessica Baird. Along with teen helpers, she offers continuity of care and age-appropriate play and learning for kids up to age 4 or 5. By all means stay with your little ones in the Nursery until you and they feel comfortable.
Parents of babies are welcome to nurse anywhere in the church. Infants often stay in 10:30 worship and some parents choose to step out of the Sanctuary for breaks in the comfortable Library corner of the Gallery.
Schoolage children come with you into the Sanctuary and participate in the first 15 minutes of worship, including an Inter-generational Time and Song. Then they go off to Sunday School with Andrea Hyde and their volunteer teachers. Parents are welcome to go to Sunday School until your child gets comfortable with the group.
Our Sunday School, in the cosy colourful rooms off Tait Hall, is stretching to accommodate a growing class and growing kids. This year Mark Laird, a young 'Mad Scientist' who is exploring a call to ministry, will lead a new Grade 5-8 group in the downstairs kitchen.
Joyful Noise welcomes all young singers to join our talented Etienne Lesage and Jewel Lau in Tait Hall classroom from 9:50 am - 10:20 am on scheduled Sunday mornings. We look forward to hearing such wonderful voices lifted in praise!
